Celio RedflyToday ScreenA Redfly is a larger keyboard and screen for a Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone) or Professional (Pocket PC) device. Since I use Windows Mobile daily, I have been watching the price point of the Redfly. Earlier this month, Celio decided to sell the Redfly for $199. So I decided to pick one up. Two weeks ago I received my Redfly. After taking two trips with the Redfly, here’s my experience with it.

Article: Windows Server 2008 - Installing the Desktop Experience Feature

Windows Server 2008 is now supported with Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1.  You need to install the Desktop Experience Feature in order to complete the installation of WMDC.  Also, if you have a x64 version of Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, you need to install the WMDC 6.1 x64 driver.

This update has been reflected on all the Windows Mobile Device Center Troubleshooting pages as appropriate.

Update: ActiveSync Security Advisories

Seth Fogieand White Wolf Security has reported an RNDIS and DCOM vulnerabilites with ActiveSync 4.x and Windows XP. With this vulnerability a Windows Mobile user can take control of a desktop PC even if the PC is locked.

Update: Exchange ActiveSync Errors and Solutions

There were over 25 updates made to the Exchange ActiveSync Errors and Solutions including adding new error codes.  Also, there were updates to many of the possible solutions with links to the latest Microsoft Knowledge Base articles.
